Many people encounter the problem of bubbles forming after laminating documents or photos, resulting in an uneven appearance. However, with a few tips, you can achieve a smooth, shiny, and professional-looking laminated document.

1. Choose the Right Laminating Film

Different laminating film thicknesses require different temperatures and machine requirements.

Common thicknesses include: 75 microns, 100 microns, and 125 microns.

Recommendation: 75 microns is sufficient for ordinary documents, while 100 microns or higher can be used for more important documents for a crisper finish.

2. Preheating the Machine is Critical

Many people rush into laminating right after turning the machine on. This results in insufficient heat, which prevents the film from adhering securely to the document and causes bubbles to form.

How to: Wait until the machine is fully preheated before starting again. Machines generally have a preheating indicator light.

Temperature: For thicker documents, increase the temperature slightly (between 80°C and 110°C).

3. Lay the documents flat.

Before placing the documents in the laminating film, ensure that the corners are aligned and there are no creases or wrinkles in the center.

Tip: Gently press them with your hands to remove any air.

Note: Avoid inserting too many documents at once, as this can cause uneven lamination.

4. Feed the film correctly.

Insert the sealed end (the edge) into the machine first. This will ensure a better fit between the film and the documents, minimizing slippage and bubbling.

5. Don't rush to remove the documents after laminating.

The film is still hot right after laminating. Bending it immediately or placing it on an uneven surface can cause bubbling or deformation.

How to: Let the laminated documents lay flat and cool completely before use.

6. Don't neglect machine maintenance.

Dust inside the machine or dirty rollers can also cause uneven lamination.

Recommendation: Clean the machine regularly and run it through the machine several times with special cleaning film to ensure the rollers are clean.
