1. Improper temperature setting
The laminating pouch packaging process requires high temperatures to heat the film so that it adheres tightly to the paper. If the temperature is set too high or too low, it may cause bubbles to form in the film during the packaging process.
Solution: Make sure the temperature setting of the laminating machine is moderate, and adjust the temperature according to the thickness and type of the film. Most laminating pouches work best between 100°C and 130°C.
2. Improper operation
Another common reason for laminating pouches to bubble is improper operation. For example:
Inaccurate alignment of the film and paper: If the alignment of the documents is not accurate when they are placed in the laminating pouches, it may cause air to appear between the film and the paper, forming bubbles.
Too fast speed: If the laminating machine feeds too fast, the film does not fully contact the paper, which may also cause bubbles.
Solution: Make sure the documents are aligned in the laminating pouches and the feed speed is moderate. You can do a small sample test first to ensure the packaging effect is good.
3. Use bad laminating pouches
If the laminating pouches are of poor quality or have expired, bubbles may also appear during packaging.
Solution: Choose high-quality laminating pouches and ensure that the film material is not expired.

4. High humidity in the environment
In a high humidity environment, moisture in the air may enter between the film and the paper during the packaging process, forming bubbles.
Solution: Try to perform plastic sealing operations in a dry and warm environment, and avoid using laminating pouches in humid places.
5. The thickness of the laminating pouches is not suitable
If the thickness of the laminating pouches used is too thin, bubbling may occur more easily. The film is not easy to be completely flat during the packaging process, and bubbles are easy to form. And too thick a film may cause air to enter due to incomplete sealing.
Solution: Choose laminating pouches of appropriate thickness according to the needs of the file. Common thickness options are 75mic, 100mic, 125mic, etc. Make sure to choose the right film material.
