By adding a special chemical layer (such as titanium dioxide or benzotriazole absorbers), it can block more than 98% of ultraviolet rays (data source: ASTM G154 test standard), so that the plastic-sealed content remains clear and usable outdoors for 2-5 years.
The material combination determines the lifespan
Base layer:
PET material: high temperature resistance, strong tear resistance, suitable for long-term outdoor use;
PVC material: low cost, but easy to yellow (not recommended for more than 1 year).
Coating process:
Double-sided coating: The inner and outer layers are UV-proof at the same time, which is costly but provides comprehensive protection;
Single-sided coating: Only the outer layer is protected, which is suitable for backlit display scenes.
