1. Choose the right laminating pouches
Laminating pouches of different thicknesses, sizes, and materials are suitable for different scenarios.
Common thicknesses include 80mic, 100mic, 125mic, etc. Thicker ones are stiffer and have better protection, but they have higher requirements for the laminating machine.
The size should match the file size. For example, A4 files use A4 laminating pouches. Too large or too small will affect the effect.
Choose materials according to the purpose. Common ones include glossy, matte, adhesive-backed, anti-static, etc.
2. Alignment before laminating
Before laminating, place the document in the middle of the laminating pouches, leaving a certain gap on the four sides, so that the edge is firmly sealed to prevent air or moisture from entering.
If the document is placed sideways, it is easy to seal crooked
If it is too close to the edge, it is easy to deglue
3. Preheating the laminating machine is very important
When the laminating machine is just turned on, the temperature of the laminating machine has not risen yet. Direct use will cause the glue to not melt well and the laminating is not firm.
Preheating generally takes 2 to 5 minutes. Wait until the indicator light is on or the display is ready before starting the operation.
4. The laminating speed should be uniform
When feeding into the laminating machine, the action should be steady, do not push or pull, let the machine bring it in by itself, so that the laminating will come out flat.
Pushing and pulling hard may cause bubbles or curling
Unevenness can easily cause deformation of the laminating pouches
5. Avoid foreign objects
Make sure that there is no dust, paper scraps or other foreign objects on the surface of the document before laminating. Otherwise, it may:
Damage the machine roller
The laminating pouches cannot be sealed
Obvious bubbles or bulges appear
6. Do not cut or bend immediately after plastic sealing
The laminating pouches just out of the machine are hot and the glue has not completely cooled. Cutting or bending them immediately at this time will affect the sealing and even debonding.
