Step 1: Choose the right laminated paper type.
Glossy Film: Creates vibrant colors, ideal for posters and brochures.
Matte Film: Features a matte, low-reflective finish and a delicate feel, suitable for high-end packaging.
Velvet Film: Offers a velvety feel and resists fingerprints, ideal for gift boxes or luxury product covers.
Step 2: Prepare the laminating machine.
Using thermoplastic laminated paper requires a thermal laminating machine (hot melt laminating machine). Ensure the machine parameters are adjustable. Applicable equipment includes:
Semi-automatic or fully automatic laminating machines
Manual laminating machines (for small batches)

Step 3: Set temperature and speed
Different film materials and papers have different suitable parameters. Common settings are:
Temperature: 90°C – 120°C (depending on the film's melting point)
Speed: Set to medium to ensure the adhesive layer is fully melted and adhered
Pressure: Use moderate and even pressure to prevent bubbling or slipping
Step 4: Pay attention to paper compatibility
Thermoplastic laminated paper is suitable for:
Coated paper, matte paper
White cardboard, gray board
Specialty paper (some require testing)
Precautions for using thermoplastic laminated paper
Preheat thoroughly: The machine must be preheated to the set temperature, otherwise it will not adhere securely.
Keep the environment dry: Wet paper can easily cause the film to bubble or warp.
Avoid secondary overheating: Excessive temperatures can cause the film to yellow or debond.
Storage: Laminating film should be stored in a dark, dry environment to prevent moisture and deformation.
