1. The Function of Lamination Film
Lamination film is essentially a protective film that:
Waterproof and Moisture-Proof: Prevents moisture and deformation of photos
Dustproof and Dirt-Proof: Prevents dust and stains from sticking to photos
Scratch-Proof: Protects the surface of photos from scratches
2. Storage Durability Depends on Several Factors
How long photos last depends not only on the lamination film itself but also on several other factors:
Film Quality
The combination of highly transparent and durable PET lamination film and EVA hot-melt adhesive provides a secure edge seal, protecting photos for extended periods of time.
Thickness
Thin films (60–80 microns) are suitable for daily protection and can last for several years. Thicker films (100–250 microns) offer increased durability, lasting over ten years.
Edge Sealing Strength
Smooth, wide edges (≥2.5–3 mm) are essential for waterproofing, dustproofing, and airtightness. Poor edge sealing can lead to warping and moisture over time.
Storage Environment
Avoid direct sunlight, high temperatures, and high humidity. Store in a dry, well-ventilated area for a longer shelf life.

3. Actual Storage Guidelines
Daily household photos: Seal with standard lamination film and store in a normal environment for 5–10 years.
Important photos or long-term preservation: Choose high-quality film, thick film, and secure edge sealing. Combined with a good storage environment, they can last 10–20 years or even longer.
4. Notes for Wholesale Customers
Film Quality: PET film + EVA hot melt adhesive is more reliable.
Edge Sealing: Smooth, secure, and resistant to debonding.
Thickness: Choose between 60–250 microns depending on the intended use of the photos.
Packaging and Customization: Check OEM/ODM support, packaging specifications, and ease of sales.
