Today, we'll discuss common problems with laminating documents and their solutions.
1. Why do bubbles form when laminating documents?
Cause: The laminating film doesn't fully adhere to the document, or the machine temperature is too high/too low.
Solution:
Ensure the document is flat and dry.
Adjust the laminating machine temperature, referring to the film thickness specifications.
Use a slow speed mode to ensure even heat pressing.
2. What if the laminating film won't stick?
Cause: Poor quality laminating film, or dust or oil on the document surface.
Solution:
Choose high-quality laminating film, such as the YIDU brand.
Clean the document surface of dust and oil before use.
Ensure the laminating machine temperature and speed match the film thickness.

3. What if the document deforms after lamination?
Cause: The laminating machine temperature is too high, or the film is too thick, resulting in uneven pressing.
Solution:
Adjust the temperature and speed.
For thinner documents, use a thin film; thicker documents can be laminated in two stages or with a thicker film at a slower speed.
Remove the laminating film only after it has cooled down to avoid curling due to thermal expansion and contraction.
4. How to choose the laminating film thickness?
Common thicknesses: 75μm, 100μm, 125μm.
Recommendations: Small documents, photos, certificates: 75μm~100μm.
Larger documents, contracts, menus: 125μm~250μm.
Tip: The thicker the film, the better the protection, but the cost and perceived thickness will increase.
5. How long can laminated documents last?
Generally: If stored in a dry environment without direct sunlight, laminated documents can last 3-10 years.
Influencing factors: Temperature, humidity, film material, document paper quality.
Tip: Important documents should be stored separately to avoid compression or bending.
Laminating Tips and Precautions:
Use high-quality laminating film to ensure transparency and adhesion. Leave a 5-10mm gap around the edges of the document to prevent overflow during heat sealing.
Clean the laminator regularly to prevent dust from affecting the final result.
For easily deformable documents, use cold lamination film or a low-temperature laminator.
